"The Great Salt Lake" - Band of Horses

I guess you could say that this song was one of the main influences for starting this blog. I was driving home from work last night and as usual the music was blaring and then the idea was just there. I know I am not alone when I say this but whenever I am listening to a song my brain takes me on an adventure into the past, present, and the future. I think about the places that I have been and how that song reminds me of that place or that experience even if that songs was never heard while experiencing those things. In addition whenever I hear other songs it reminds me of when I first heard that song and where I was and what I was doing, etc whether I was happy or sad and the list goes on. I would say more or less this blog will be a musical scrapbook, but it will also be a way for me to express how music makes me feel here and now and how that will influence my future as well. With that said and as sappy as that may sound, I really just hope that I will enjoy myself by doing this and I hope that others might enjoy themselves as well and also share their opinions and stories about the never ending soundtrack of music in their lives.
